Versatility is the name of the game for the Ahmeek 95. When the snow is hard and icy, this ski provides you with the confidence to hold an edge and link carved turns. But take it into the softer stuff, and it has plenty of capability to cut through crud and slash through the trees. If you want a ski to take off-piste without sacrificing hardpack performance, look no further than the Ahmeek 95.

      • Tip rocker maximizes flotation in powder and busts through crud.
      • Full twintip tail allows the Ahmeek 95 to maneuver easily in the tightest trees.
      • Camber Pockets molded within the overall camber triple the turn initiation contact points for maximum edge grip on hardpack.
      • Hybrid MidLight construction combines ash and poplar hardwoods with carbon fiber and lightweight triaxial fiberglass for weight reduction without sacrificing pop and energy.
      • Balanced flex allows skiers to charge groomers and big terrain, yet have enough flex in the tip and tail to remain playful across the mountain and float through powder.
      • Rounded mini-cap top edge with full-height UHMW sidewalls are bombproof and provide a sleek look.

      Common Questions

      What length should I get?
The Ahmeek 95 has a rockered tip and a full twin tail. If you are between lengths, size up for a more stable ride, size down for more maneuverability. Check out our size chart for more info.

      What bindings should I get?
You can use any binding on the Ahmeek 95 as long as the brake width is at least 95mm wide. We run Marker Griffon bindings on our demo skis. Visit your local ski shop for bindings and mounting.

      What can I customize?
Just about anything from graphics to construction!

      What are Camber Pockets?
Camber Pockets are additional small sections of camber (about 4" long and 0.030" tall) molded into the overall camber of the ski in front of and behind your midsole position. They increase contact pressure to improve grip on hardpack and ice.

      Are they tuned and waxed?
Skis come tuned with a 1° base edge bevel and a 2° side edge bevel and a slight tip/tail detune. The skis are waxed with a universal temperature wax to get you going.

      Build Notes

Ride Notes: Quick and light in the trees while still powerful enough to lay down trenches on corduroy.

Design Needs: Quick edge-to-edge - whip around trees - rail on groomers and ice - bust chop and float on powder days

Purpose: Build a one ski quiver that doesn't make you dread the days between storms. Make a ski that is just at home on groomers and ice as it is when exploring new terrain.

      Love my Ahmeek 95’s

Had my Ahmeek 95’s built last summer with in house graphics. Called after receiving my proofs and made a few changes. Shaggy’s was happy to make some custom changes at no extra charge. Received them and topped with Marker Griffons. The Midwest was light on snow early so I made first turns on new skis out west in early December. Two more trips out west and a bunch of Midwest skiing in 20/21 found me loving my Shaggy’s more with every turn. I recommend them to everyone who will listen. Great product and customer service!

      Powerfully Playful

My maiden day had very Northern Michigan surface...very hard and noisy, 6* temp which evolved to 28* and scattered piles of shavings. The Ahmeeks rocked it all! We have many race teams on the hill that provide excellent visual modeling and I felt the Ahmeeks were disguised racing boards. Powerful enough for the conditions. Even had a 100 yard section of steep, sharp moguls to play on and the Ahmeeks were great there as well. I’ve got some fitness work to do to get the best out of them, and that’s perfect!

Great Skis for the Whole Mountain

I've now skied on the Ahmeek 95s for a full season and I can saw without a doubt that I love them. They've been great for everything Michigan has. They're quick and responsive through the trees and will punch right through the crud on crusty days. I also took them out to Winter Park for a week and they were perfect there. WP got slammed with 40"+ over the week I was there and the skis handled it beautifully

      2020 Ahmeek 95’s

After skiing on K2’s my entire life I thought I’d make a change I’m in my 40’s and so glad I made the change. After emails & talking to the guys at Shaggy’s we determined the 95’s would be the best fit. I’ve skied icy conditions, groomed condition, days with heavy crud & even a little powder. In every condition these skis handled flawlessly. I can’t wait to see how they handle the spring snow of Colorado. I have times skiing with my kids & they are very playful but then you can turn them loose on the black diamonds & push them as hard as you can & never feel out of control. The only problem is my wife tried all the Shaggy’s at a demo & now wants to retire her K2’s for a pair of Shaggy’s . Looks like next year we will add another pair of Shaggy’s.

      Great All Mountain Ski

Last week I got my first chance on the Ahmeek 95's in Steamboat. First day was all groomers and the edging on the Ahmeek 95 were great. Better than I expected for a 95 underfoot. These skis like medium to long radius turns with speed. On the app I use, it showed I had 30-35 mph sustained speeds with a top speed of 45 mph and they were stable. The groomers were fun.
Second day I got 6” of fresh snow. Again, they handled those conditions great. I think these conditions is where they are at their best. Plowed thru the crud and still getting good edge hold. Especially in the latter part of the day when everything is skied over.
On my third day, I woke up to 15” of snow. They skied well thru the deep stuff, however, there was a little bit of limitation to them in the deeper snow. I know this is to be expected in deep powder with a 95 underfoot ski, but I was still happy with their performance. I just had to work them a little harder.
I am a solid intermediate skier that skis most of the mountain except for steep mogul runs.
Overall, I am very pleased with the skis.
