The Ahmeek 105s are mid-fat all mountain skis with an oversized appetite for adventure. Whether you're scouting fresh powder lines or ripping corduroy on the frontside, the Ahmeek 105s are right at home.

The Ahmeek collection bridges the gap between aggressive freeride and playful freestyle, allowing for charging hardpack and big terrain, yet having enough flex in the tip to remain playful all over the mountain and float in the powder. Their hybrid MidLight construction, precision tuned rocker/camber profile, variable sidecut radius, and 105 mm waist make them ideal for taking on whatever Mother Nature throws at you.

The Ahmeek 105s are in a league of their own. Powerful yet playful, light yet substantial. They'll take you where ever you want to go. Ready to shoot into the trees? Easy. Want to rip a groomer? Done. Only want to travel with one pair of skis? Grab the Ahmeek 105s and get ready to take your skiing to the next level.

Dimensions: 139-105-124

  • Early Rise Tip Rocker maximizes flotation in powder and busts through crud
  • Hybrid MidLight Construction combines Ash and Poplar hardwoods for weight reduction without sacrificing pop and energy.
  • Rounded mini-cap top edge with full height UHMW sidewalls are bombproof and look good too.

MidLight Construction

Ahmeek 105 Ski Construction - What makes skis

Core

Laminated Ash/Poplar Hardwood: Long grain premium White Ash and Tulip Poplar is hand selected and cut into full length strips. Strips are individually flex indexed and laminated together symmetrically. Each laminated core is CNC milled to a precise thickness profile developed for each model and length.

Composites

Unidirectional Carbon Fiber strips below the core, lightweight Triaxial Fiberglass above and beneath the core, Fiberglass binding mat underfoot. Rubber bonding strips placed along edges, sidewalls, and ends for rock solid bonding.

Sidewall

Full height UHMW - the same raw material as your base, bombproof and double chamfered for reduced swingweight. A rounded mini-cap top edge rolls over the sidewall to protect your topsheets.

Topsheet

Clearview gloss Nylon with sublimated graphics and transparent windows to inside the ski.

Base + Edge

1.4 mm CNC Knife Cut 4001 Race Grade Durasurf sintered UHMW. 2.2 mm over-sized and heat treated edges take a beating.

Blog Post About How to Size and Select Skis

Here's a basic chart to get you started:

Ski Sizing Chart

Sizing skis is a little bit of an art and a little bit of a science. There are numerous factors that all affect the optimal ski length for you.

A few of the factors are:

  • Skier size and weight
  • Skier ability (experts size up, beginners size down)
  • Type of terrain you like
  • Where you normally ski
  • Current ski size

The list could go on and on, but if you need help with the decision, always feel free to call us at 231.459.4323, live chat, or email us!

What snow conditions are they made for?
Ahmeek 105 Snow Usage - Powder - Crud - Trees - Groomers

Are they right for me?
They’re right for you if you're looking for one ski that can do it all with confidence. You want a go-to ski that you can grab whether a storm just rolled through or you've been skiing the same crud for the last two weeks. You want to adventure to new parts of the mountain and possibly head into the backcountry. You want a ski with unmatched versatility, because... You never know what you're going to find next!

What length should I get?
The Ahmeek 105s have tip rocker and a full twin tail. If you are between lengths, size up for a more stable ride, size down for more maneuverability. Check out our size chart in the previous tab for more info.

What bindings should I get?
You can use any binding on the Ahmeek 105s as long as the brake width is at least 105mm wide. We run Marker Griffon bindings on our demo skis. Visit your local ski shop for bindings and mounting.

What are Camber Pockets?
Camber Pockets are additional small sections of camber (about 4 in long and 0.030" tall) molded into the overall camber of the ski in front of and behind your midsole position. They increase contact pressure to improve grip on hardpack and ice. [add graphic]

Are they tuned and waxed?
Skis come tuned with a 1° base edge bevel and a 3° side edge bevel and a slight tip/tail detune. The skis are waxed with a universal temperature wax to get you going.

The Rundown

Ride Notes: Burly, nimble, light - but not too light - it busts crud with ease and rises up in powder.

Design Needs: float in deep powder - whip around trees - rail on groomers like a narrower ski

Purpose: Build one ski to do everything but make the most of a day when the powder is fresh. Make the one ski that you can stash in your car and not need to worry about what conditions are like.

  1. These skis are built to take on anything. From bushwhacking the backcountry to billygoating an windblown ice, the Ahmeek 105s are the skis for when compromising isn't an option.
  2. The 105 mm waist width will keep you floating in powder, yet is nimble on hardpack and in tight, technical terrain.
  3. Camber pockets molded into the overall camber maximize edge hold on hardpack.
  4. Full twintip tails make the Ahmeeks maneuver easily in the tightest trees.
  5. MidLight construction makes the burly construction tour friendly at under 1925 grams per ski (174 cm).

AHMEK 105 /Single Quiver Western Ski

Like many avid skiers, Ive traveled for years with multiple skis, always dreaming of characteristics that would be desirable in a single ski travel ski. Let’s face it, traveling with multiple skis or even trying to swap out once on the mountain is a pain. I want, no, need, versatility to ski the entire mountain. The Ahmek 105 with nanomag is the ski Ive dreamed of. This ski is FUN. Trustworthy. Predictable until it isn’t (ie fun, see comparison to WRT below). It’s a workhorse and I will be buying the 115 for next season for deeper/storm days.

This is the 5th ski in my current quiver (Stockli AX, WRT, E100, DPS 106 C2). This ski is lighter than the E100 yet nearly as damp and stable at 50 mph plus. It’s got a kick like my WRT (you read that right). Load this sucker up with shorter turns on harder snow and, not only will the edge be there, but you’ll get some out of the turn ( was shocked by this!). It’s reasonably quick in trees and floats well. The tail is there, but releases on demand. Smears and checks back up immediately. It engages in turns at slow speeds (super important for me, I love edging on cat tracks or mellow slopes). It seems to “want” any turn, or turn shape I throw at it. Tip shape/flex remains stable in chop and at speed (yet it is such a light ski, how!?). All this in a 105 waisted ski, insane! I blindly purchased this ski last summer and, for the first time in years, I am not looking for a replacement in this category.

I am 6’4”, 190. Bought the 186, stock layup/core, added nanomag. P14’s OTL. I do wonder what a longer 188-190 version would be like BUT with the blunt nose the effective length/area appears the same as my 190 Wailer 106’s…

Awesome for Everything

Replaced my old center mount Line Blends with Ahmeek 105s this year. I mounted Marker Griffon bindings 3.7cm forward from the suggested mount point to get a more centered feel to rotate in the air. They worked fantastic in all ways. They're a little fat for groomers but doesn't matter, they handle great. They also are great for skiing switch. They have great grip on ice and handle powder and trees like a champ. They have great balance in the air and are very nimble. I skied my local groomers along with powder, ice, and trees (and rocks) in Winter Park and Breck. Also skied trees, cliffs, powder and ice at Bohemia. It's awesome having skis recognizable as midwestern skis, I recieved a lot of compliments. These skis rip!

True all mountain, all condition ski!

I purchased my Ahmeek 105's July of 2021 and outfitted them with LOOK pivot bindings. I never had a chance to demo the skis before purchase so I primarily went off of previous reviews and the blister review posted on the skis.

Needless to say after a few michigan weekend trips and a week trip out to Idaho I am 100% sold on this ski. I am every impressed on how the ski handles in all conditions. On my trip to idaho we had conditions ranging from spring corn to 5-6" of fresh to hard groomers at the end of our trip. It handled all conditions with ease. The ski charged through the ungroomed chop and was a riot to hop off of the runs into the trees and glades. I was very impressed with the skis frontside groomer performance, and the versalitity to go anywhere on the mountain and not worry about swapping skis.

Awesome ski for all conditions, Thanks Shaggys!

Fantastic Skis

I was a bit hesitant about buying a ski from a small ski company but I am so happy I did, the customer support was outstanding and the ski buying and customizing processes where painless.
The skis themselves both look and ski great, they are truly an all around ski that is the perfect blend of a aggressive and playful ski.
