The Medora 105s - the perfect skis to take out in morning powder, then bust through crud and rail on groomers in the afternoon. They’re ideal for anyone looking to have serious fun all over the mountain but wanting to maximize flotation when the powder is fresh.

Thanks to the full twin tail and rockered tip, the 105s will maneuver effortlessly and release turns in an instant, allowing skiers to easily jump into the trees or venture into new terrain.

Bottom line: these playful yet powerful all mountain powder skis are built to chase the freshies, shred corduroy, and do everything in between. The amazingly versatile Medora 105s will have you wondering how skiing variable terrain got so easy.

  • Early Rise Tip Rocker maximizes flotation in powder and busts through crud.
  • Hybrid MidLight Construction combines Ash and Poplar hardwoods for weight reduction without sacrificing pop and energy.
  • Camber + Camber Pockets underfoot provide exceptional edge grip on hard snow.
  • Rounded Mini-Cap top edges with full-height UHMW sidewalls are scratch resistant and look good too.

MidLight Construction

Ahmeek 105 Ski Construction - What makes skis

Laminated Ash/Poplar Hardwood: Long grain premium White Ash and Tulip Poplar is hand selected and cut into full length strips. Strips are individually flex indexed and laminated together symmetrically. Each laminated core is CNC milled to a precise thickness profile developed for each model and length.

Unidirectional Carbon Fiber strips below the core, lightweight Triaxial Fiberglass above and beneath the core, Fiberglass binding mat underfoot. Rubber bonding strips placed along edges, sidewalls, and ends for rock solid bonding.

Full height UHMW - the same raw material as your base, bombproof and double chamfered for reduced swingweight. A rounded mini-cap top edge rolls over the sidewall to protect your topsheets.

Clearview gloss Nylon with back-printed sublimated graphics.

Base + Edge

1.4 mm CNC Knife Cut 4001 Race Grade Durasurf sintered UHMW. 2.2 mm over-sized and heat treated edges take a beating.

Blog Post About How to Size and Pick Skis

Sizing skis is a little bit of an art and a little bit of a science. There are numerous factors that all effect the optimal ski length for you.

A few of the factors are:

  • Skier size and weight
  • Skier ability (experts size up, beginners size down)
  • Type of terrain you like
  • Where you normally ski
  • Current ski size

Women's Ski Sizing Chart

What snow conditions are they made for?

Medora 105 Women's All Mountain Powder Skis - Ski Usage Guide - Powder skis for trees and groomers

Are they right for me?
They're right for you if you want to get onto a wider ski to maximize the fun in powder, but also want a ski that can still lap groomers and ski all over the mountain when it hasn't snowed in days. If you're ready to jump into the trees or venture into new terrain, the full twin tail and rockered tip on the Medora 105s will easily release turns and maneuver quicker than ever.

What length should I get?
The Medora 105s have tip rocker and a full twin tail. If you are between lengths, size up for a more stable ride, size down for more maneuverability. Check out our size chart in the previous tab for more info.

What bindings should I get?
You can use any binding on the Medora 105s as long as the brake width is at least 105mm wide. We run Marker Squire bindings on our women's demo skis. Visit your local ski shop for bindings and mounting.

What are Camber Pockets?
Camber Pockets are additional small sections of camber (about 4 in long and 0.030" tall) molded into the overall camber of the ski in front of and behind your midsole position. They increase contact pressure to improve grip on hardpack and ice.

Are they tuned and waxed?
Skis come tuned with a 1° base edge bevel and a 3° side edge bevel and a slight tip/tail detune. The skis are waxed with a universal temperature wax to get you going.

The Rundown

Ride Notes: Super fun and versatile ski for powder days, choppy crud, and soft groomers - my go-to skis. Great for medium to large radius turns but move around quick in the trees.

Design Needs: Float in fresh powder - quickly maneuver through trees and narrow areas - carve on groomers

Purpose: Make a women's powder ski that is just as strong on groomers and in crud as it is floating through champagne powder.

  3. Camber pockets molded into the overall camber maximize edge hold on hardpack.

Best Skis Ever!

The “do it all” ski! I can take these anywhere and know I will have a fun day no matter the conditions. They are great at busting through the crud, keeping you afloat in the pow, and putting a smile on your face with every quick engaging turn on those groomer days! These skis go with me to Boyne Mountain, Mt. Bohemia, backcountry skiing in MI & Canada, and vacation days out West (Alaska and CO, so far). I highly recommend these skis to every intermediate to advance lady out there looking for a wider, do it all ski. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: My husband is a co-owner of Shaggy's, but honestly, I think these are the best skis ever!

Love these skis!

I've skid these ladies in Michigan, Montana and Colorado and they are amazing in all conditions. I even race on them in my beer league! Wide underfoot, yet easy to turn and very responsive! I highly recommend these skis to friends and strangers all the time. Get a pair! You won't be disappointed!

I ride a 168; I'm 5'3 and there isn't much I won't try on the Madoras

Jen D.

The Medoras are my go to ski for all conditions and they are particularly fun in powder and crud. Confidence inspiring, I skied some steep slopes in both Michigan and Alaska on my Medoras and they felt amazing. They hold an edge on corduroy and I can't imagine skiing deep snow without them. Awesome skis!
