Get your spot in the build queue now

Why Do I have to Wait?

  • Every pair of skis is custom built, whether you add a custom option or not, we use the exact same build process in every pair. It takes time to carefully craft each pair. We don’t cut corners, only the best - no compromises.
  • Our ski build queue is currently at our production capacity. Again, we will not cut corners to speed this up.
  • Quality takes time and good things come to those who wait!

When should I expect my skis?

  • Your skis will ship based on the current Build Time listed on the product page.
  • Once your skis are ready to ship, we'll email you a tracking number with an estimated delivery date. Most orders ship via USPS Priority Mail.

Want skis faster?

  • Contact us to see if we can expedite your order. Call us at 231.459.4323 or email info@sccskis.com.
  • Check out our Fast Ship skis and Quick Finish Skis.
    • In Stock Skis: Skis are in stock, ready to ship out same/next day.
    • Quick Finish Skis: Skis have been pressed and are holding in finishing. These skis can usually ship in 5-7 working days.

Will this time ever go down?

  • We are currently expanding our production capacity and hope to drive this queue down soon. We are always conservative while scaling production to ensure the highest quality products.

Ski Customizer Tips and FAQ

Ski Customizer Tips and Tricks

  1. If you need help, just call 231-459-4323 (we can remotely help you on the customizer).
  2. Choose your ski length template in the customizer first, you cannot edit this without losing your previous work. If you finish your design, but want to change the length or model, don't worry, we can edit it for you later!
  3. Keep any critical art away from the edges of the ski, there can be slight shifting during construction. Likewise, if you want your design to go all the way across the skis, extend that area beyond the edge of the ski by about 0.5in.
  4. We recommend only using the graphic customizer tool on a desktop or laptop, while it will work on a mobile device, it's not optimal.

Frequently Asked Questions

I think I did everything right, but will you still send me a proof?

Yes, we will confirm all artwork via email before moving to production.

Can I use a logo from (Ford, GM, Apple, Google)?

We cannot print copyrighted content without written consent from the copyright owner. Please don't use any, we don't want to delay your skis!

I'm just not getting the graphic I imagined, can you help?

Of course! We have an in-house designer that can work with you to come up with your perfect graphic. This option is only $50 more and includes 2 revisions (extra revisions are billed hourly).

The photo I uploaded won't scale large enough.

The resolution of the photo is too low, either upload a higher resolution photo or reduce it's size.

AhMEEKs 105

These skis are great. Gripped the scratch ice and hard pack, dug in on groomers and explodes out of hard carves. The best part of these skis is how they can go from groomers into side stash or woods and actually perform better. 16 inches of pow and they float right to the top. Lines I would have never even looked at before are now everywhere. The mountain opens up with these skis in my quiver. Great purchase.

Do everything ski

I've held off writing my review until after I went out west to Utah. I was hoping to see how these performed in some powder, but unfortunately only got 2" while I was there. That being said, this ski performs. An added benefit was after skiing Volkl AC-30's for years, I notice that I don't get as fatigued while skiing these. It took about a day or two to find the sweet spot. I found that you definitely want to be on the tongue of your boot when you initiate your turns, but you're not kicked in the pants if you're not. They are pretty forgiving. I will say that I'm saving the Volkls for those days where it is icy, and the Ahmeeks are going to be what I'm on the rest of the time.

Can you say 66mph!!! Groomed or Powder! This is by far the best of both worlds East or West .... Also will hold edge...I a.m. presently in Colorado skiing and have had several complements on the design.

Best skis I've ever owned

I bought these early last season and they've performed exceedingly well on everything from icy groomers at Caberfae to 12"+ of powder up at Mount Bohemia and even touring in the backcountry. They truly are an excellent choice if you're looking for a one ski quiver.

I decided to slightly customize by going with clear top sheets instead of the original white. Jeff was super helpful and we emailed back and forth several time making slight changes until I was completely happy. The finished product definitely exceeded my expectations. They're absolutely beautiful! I get lots of compliments on them wherever I happen to be skiing.

Steamboat/Winter Park pow

Jeff did an awesome job on my skis... I put a custom graphic on it from a picture I took at Big Sky and it turned out really nice. Jeff flex indexed the ski for my weight which is crucial. I buy skis off the rack but to know that this is a 165 lb ski, nice perk of ordering custom...it's a bit more but we'll worth it. They didn't disappoint. 5 days at Steamboat and 5 days at Winter Park... three pretty great pow days and some out of bounds shenanigans. The skis rip... easy in tight trees and nimble on super steep piste. Really feel safe at high speeds while carving up Mary Jane. The Ahmeek is the ski you have to bring out West when you can only bring one pair.

Carbon Fiber Skis vs Fiberglass Skis - Skis Handmade in the USA

STANDARD LAYUP

Our standard layup construction includes a select cut Ash hardwood core wrapped with triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber stringers under the core. The carbon stringers are used to increase pop and rebound energy in the ski, while complementing the predictable and torsionally rigid feel of the triaxial fiberglass.

WHICH CONSTRUCTION SHOULD I GET?

The standard layup is best suited for the majority of skiers, it blends the traditional hardwood core with an energetic feel. Skis utilizing this construction perform virtually the same as their Pure Carbon counterpart. Best for all mountain skiing with limited backcountry touring.

NANOMAG® DAMPING SYSTEM LAYUP

This method of construction incorporates a sheet of nanoMAG® magnesium into our Standard Layup that significantly reduces vibration and chatter in the nastiest conditions. The damping of the material increases edge hold and creates an exceptionally smooth ride.

WHICH CONSTRUCTION SHOULD I GET?

The nanoMAG® Damping System is suited for the skier looking for the ultimate in smooth skiing, especially when making high speed turns. This option maximizes grip on ice. Two words to describe this option are "Smooth and Stable". This will slightly reduce liveliness (vs. Standard or Pure Carbon) but gives you that Cadillac Ride!

PURE CARBON LAYUP

Our Pure Carbon construction includes an ultra lightweight biaxial Carbon Fiber (+-45 deg. orientation) coupled with a slightly heavier unidirectional Carbon Fiber. A full Carbon model allows for an exceptionally lightweight and responsive ski. The exceptionally high strength and stiffness of the Carbon Fiber allows us to use a lightweight Poplar wood core, that is Select Cut in Northern Michigan. For maximum binding screw retention, we mill out the core and place an extra retention plate in the binding area. Average weight savings versus their standard counterpart is 1.6 - 1.8 LB/Pair.

WHICH CONSTRUCTION SHOULD I GET?

The Pure Carbon layup is best suited for the skier looking to often use the ski for backcountry touring where the weight savings allows for more climbing, or someone looking for the lightest ski. Many skiers have reported back that they are able to increase their on-snow time when the conditions are rough, primarily due to reduced muscle fatigue. Skis utilizing this construction perform virtually the same as their standard counterpart, however have a significant weight savings.

*Please note that due to the opacity of Carbon Fiber, skis with this construction will not have "clear windows" into the core as on some models. The windows will instead show the carbon fiber on top of the wood core. Alternatively, and based on availability you may specify to have your graphic printed on a lightweight matte finish white material. Ski graphics with "windows" to see the core, will be white instead.

Carbon Fiber Skis vs MidLight Fiberglass Skis - Skis Handmade in the USA

MIDLIGHT LAYUP

Our MidLight Construction combines a laminated Ash and Poplar hardwood core wrapped with a lighter Triaxial Fiberglass and twice the unidirectional Carbon Fiber of the standard construction. This construction style reduces the weight of the ski by ~1/2 lb/pair while maintaining all the energetic characteristics of our Standard Ash construction. With the MidLight construction, you get a ski that's on the lighter side of the spectrum, but is rock solid when it comes to charging through nasty variable snow.

WHICH CONSTRUCTION SHOULD I GET?

This is best suited for someone who will be exploring all parts of the mountain and likely doing a fair amount of off-piste skiing where maneuvering a lighter ski is easier. It is also great for a person looking for a daily driver ski that can also be used for backcountry touring.
