We do! Want a completely new shape? We can do that. Want a full carbon fiber touring ski but want it to your specs? No problem! Check out our Custom Skis page for more info.
Good question! We craft a limited number of standard models for Fall and Winter sales, once those are sold out we start producing on an build-to-order basis. We incorporate lean manufacturing in our facility and can produce your skis within a few days if the stock is sold out. All Summer orders are produced in the Summer and will be shipped in October, so if you're looking for a good deal and want to make sure you will have your skis for the whole season, order early! Orders placed in the Fall/Winter will be delivered based on the date found on each product page.
Shaggy was Jeff and Jonathon Thompson's great-great uncle that carved solid wood skis by hand for our grandmother (John's mom and Shaggy's niece) in Kearsarge, MI (in Michigan's Copper Country aka the Keweenaw Peninsula). Check out the story at http://vimeo.com/105086004Copper Country? But made below the Mackinac Bridge?
While our heritage and family history is in the Copper Country, today we handcraft our skis in our own job shop style factory in the tip-of-the-mitt (Boyne City, MI), just below the Mighty Mac. The name pays tribute to where we come from. We are however in the Upper Peninsula, specifically the Keweenaw, just about every month and always carry extra demo skis in the winter! Who knows, we might even take the next step and move our factory to the Copper Country in the future!
The Pre-Sale is a great way to get a huge discount on new skis for the coming season! You make a purchase between now and June 30th, sit back and relax for the rest of the Summer knowing your skis are being built specifically for you. Summer Pre-sale skis will ship by October 15th and possibly sooner, so they’ll be ready for the early season!
We do not offer financing during the Pre-Sale. Financing options will be available as soon as the summer Pre-Sale ends. How do I design my custom graphic?
Absolutely! Whether you are looking for 1 unique pair or 20, we can make the skis for you. We also offer discounts for custom skis based on volume. Please keep in mind that we are handcrafting performance skis in the USA with the best materials. We may not be the best choice for orders exceeding 50 pair (we will not compete with cheap "promotional product" pricing). We can however offer you quality service, unique options at low volume, and a great product that will look good and perform even better!
We ship via USPS Priority Mail to most commercial addresses and residential addresses. We also use UPS and Fedex for some deliveries, depending on address type and location. Most in stock skis ship out next business day. Presale and summer orders will ship by October 15th. We will email you a tracking number as soon as your package goes out.
We send out skis requiring an Indirect Signature for delivery. We can change this per your request, however we cannot accept any responsibility for these packages once they have left the carrier.
We will ship anywhere in the world. If you are ordering from outside the USA, please contact us for a shipping quote. You are solely responsible for any duties, taxes, or tariffs. Can I pick up my skis at the factory?
Absolutely! If you're ordering online, just choose the "Local Pickup" option for shipping. Your skis will be available for pickup by the date listed on the product page. If you are making a special trip to pick up your skis, please do call ahead to confirm the factory/showroom hours as they do vary with production timelines, demo schedules, and snow storms!
