Fun Carver 88
Pro-Carbon Construction
The Pro-Carbon construction Fun Carver 88 is tuned for a more powerful and energetic ride. By adding strategic uni and biaxial carbon fiber reinforcement to the wood core, Pro-Carbon increases torsional strength, edge hold, and rebound while reducing weight compared to our standard construction. The result is a quicker, more precise Fun Carver with extra bite on firm snow and more pop coming out of every turn.

WHAT IS THIS SKI????
A huge, powder-inspired 152 mm rockered tip, an 88 mm frontside-friendly waist, and a race-inspired stiff, flat tail..
We call it the Fun Carver 88 - the only name that does this ski justice. Or maybe we should just call it the reverse mullet - party in the front, business in the back.
This ski will make you a better skier, and people on the chairlift will turn their heads in awe as you rip immaculate slalom turns on a ski with a 152 mm shovel!
If you want to make every vertical foot count with tight turns, then hop off the trail in fresh pow, there’s only one ski you want - and it’s this one! It’s weird, funky, and kind of confusing to look at - but the sh%t-eating grin on your face after your first run will tell the whole story.
This isn’t a one-ski quiver - it’s different. It’s the ski that compliments your true all mountain skis (like the Ahmeek 105s you probably already have).
This is the Fun Carver - it’s extremely easy to initiate those high-G tight, slalom-inspired turns with the energy and pop of a one year old Siberian Husky. With a moderately flexing tip and rock-solid tail, this ski is the whole package, even when you want to let it run medium-to-large radius turns.
And now on to the technical jargon...
Full ash hardwood core for maximum snap and pop.
Full-width biaxial carbon fiber for increased torsional stiffness = more grip.
nanoMAG Damping System to reduce chatter and vibration on hardpack and ice.
Rockered tip for easy turn initiation and blasting through powder, crud, and variable snow.
Traditional camber underfoot for immediate edge grip.
Stiff, flat tail for rocket-like energy coming out of a turn - but it’s still easy enough to break out of a turn.

Common Questions
What length should I get?
The Fun Carver 88 features a tight, slalom-like sidecut and huge shovel. Size down from a typical all mountain ski if you are between lengths.
What bindings should I get?
You can use any binding on the Fun Carver 88 as long as the brake width is at least 88 mm wide. We run Marker Griffon bindings on our demo skis. Visit your local ski shop for bindings and mounting.
Skis come tuned with a 1° base edge bevel and a 2° side edge bevel and a slight tip/tail detune. The skis are waxed with a universal temperature wax to get you going.
Premium Materials
Core
Laminated ash hardwood: Long grain premium white ash is hand selected and cut into full-length strips. Strips are individually flex indexed and laminated together symmetrically. Each laminated core is CNC milled to a precise thickness profile developed for each model and length.
Composites
Ultra-lightweight full-width biaxial carbon fiber below the core, lightweight triaxial fiberglass above and below the core, unidirectional carbon fiber above the top of the core, fiberglass binding mat underfoot. Rubber bonding strips placed along edges, sidewalls, and ends for rock-solid bonding.
NANOMAG® DAMPING SYSTEM
nanoMAG® magnesium sheets are inlaid into the wood cores. The unique characteristic of this material is its ability to dissipate mechanical energy into heat, with increased capacity as the material is moved faster.
Bio-Based Epoxy
Entropy Super Sap® epoxy contains 28% bio-based content and is specifically designed for skis. It's formulated for high strength and impact resistance, which creates a durable, tough, and lightweight composite.
Sidewalls
Full-height urethane - bombproof and double chamfered for reduced swing weight. A rounded mini-cap top edge rolls over the sidewall to protect your topsheets.
Topsheet
Clearview textured matte nylon with sublimated graphics and transparent windows to the wood core.
Base + Edge
1.4 mm CNC knife-cut 4001 Race Grade Durasurf sintered UHMW. 2.2 mm oversized and heat-treated edges take a beating.
